Clementine, Your 1940s Girl

Petalina is thrilled to be able to share a details of Clementine with you, the latest doll from A Girl for All Time.

Clementine, Your 1940s Girl, is the latest doll in a series of six in total from A Girl for All Time. We already know Matilda, Your Tudor Girl, and Amelia, Your Victorian Girl, and in a few months time we will get to know Clementine a little better. Clemmie (as she is affectionately known by her designer), is a 13 year old descendent from the Marchmont family tree which includes both Matilda and Amelia, and like her ancestors Clemmie will be available with a novel describing her adventures in the 1940s as war breaks out.

All I can say about Clemmie, having already seen the protoype at a trade fair in January, is …… she is completely STUNNING! Her red hair will be a little more subtle than in this shot but everything else is spot on. The fabric used for her dress is a beautiful floaty crepe, and very reminiscent of dress materials from the time. As with the rest of the A Girl for All Time dolls, a great deal of research has gone into her creation to ensure that all details of the period, including clothing, is correct.
